  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large Granny Smith apples, diced
  • Neutral oil for frying
  • 1.5 cups powdered sugar (glaze)
  • 2 tbsp milk (glaze)


Instructions

  1. Whisk dry ingredients (flour, sugar, spices, baking powder) in a large bowl.
  2. Combine wet ingredients (discard, milk, egg, vanilla) and fold into dry ingredients.
  3. Fold in finely diced apples.
  4. Heat oil to 350°F in a heavy pot.
