Description

An incredibly easy and flavorful recipe for tender shredded chicken sliders made in the slow cooker with just a few ingredients.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1.5 cups chunky salsa
  • 2 tbsp taco seasoning
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 12 slider buns
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder


Instructions

  1. Place chicken in the slow cooker and coat with taco seasoning.
  2. Pour salsa over the chicken and cook on Low for 6-8 hours or High for 3-4 hours.
  3. Shred the chicken with two forks and stir back into the juices with lime juice and cilantro.
  4. Place chicken on slider bun bottoms, top with cheese, and replace bun tops.
  5. Brush with garlic butter and bake at 350°F for 10 minutes until cheese is melted.
