- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2-3 tbsp Matcha powder
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 4 tbsp cold unsalted butter
- 1 3/4 cups buttermilk
- 1 large egg
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F and prepare a baking sheet.
- Sift flour, Matcha, sugar, baking soda, and salt together.
- Cut cold butter into the flour until crumbly.
- Whisk buttermilk and egg, then stir into dry ingredients until a dough forms.
- Shape into a round loaf and score a deep X on top.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes until the bottom sounds hollow when tapped.
