Ingredients

  • 1 small yellow onion, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 whole wheat buns


Instructions

  1. Sauté onions and bell peppers in a skillet until soft.
  2. Add ground turkey and cook until browned.
  3. Stir in garlic, spices, tomato sauce, tomato paste, Worcestershire, mustard, and sweetener.
