  • 1 large yellow onion, diced
  • 2 bell peppers, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, rinsed
  • 1 can (15 oz) black beans, rinsed
  • 1 can (28 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp honey


Instructions

  1. Brown the ground turkey in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add onions, peppers, and garlic to the skillet and sauté for 5 minutes.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a slow cooker.
  4. Add beans, tomatoes, sauce, broth, and all spices.
  5. Cook on Low for 6-8 hours or High for 3-4 hours.
