- 1.5 lbs lean ground turkey
- 1 large yellow onion, diced
- 2 bell peppers, diced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, rinsed
- 1 can (15 oz) black beans, rinsed
- 1 can (28 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tbsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp honey
Instructions
- Brown the ground turkey in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add onions, peppers, and garlic to the skillet and sauté for 5 minutes.
- Transfer the mixture to a slow cooker.
- Add beans, tomatoes, sauce, broth, and all spices.
- Cook on Low for 6-8 hours or High for 3-4 hours.
- Adjust seasoning and serve with desired toppings.
