Ingredients

  • 1 cup Guinness Extra Stout (reduced to 1/4 cup)
  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter, softened
  • 1 cup Dark Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 Large Egg
  • 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 2 1/4 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 cup Dutch-Processed Cocoa Powder
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/2 tsp Kosher Salt
  • 1 1/2 cups Dark Chocolate Chunks
  • Flaky Sea Salt for topping


Instructions

  1. Reduce 1 cup of Guinness to 1/4 cup in a saucepan and cool.
  2. Cream butter and both sugars until fluffy.
  3. Mix in the egg, vanilla, and cooled Guinness reduction.
  4. Sift together flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt, then add to wet ingredients.
  5. Fold in dark chocolate chunks and chill dough for 30 mins.
  6. Scoop onto lined baking sheets and bake at 350°F for 10-12 minutes.
  7. Top with flaky sea salt immediately and cool.
