- 1 cup Guinness Extra Stout (reduced to 1/4 cup)
- 1 cup Unsalted Butter, softened
- 1 cup Dark Brown Sugar
- 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1 Large Egg
- 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 2 1/4 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1/2 cup Dutch-Processed Cocoa Powder
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 1/2 tsp Kosher Salt
- 1 1/2 cups Dark Chocolate Chunks
- Flaky Sea Salt for topping
Instructions
- Reduce 1 cup of Guinness to 1/4 cup in a saucepan and cool.
- Cream butter and both sugars until fluffy.
- Mix in the egg, vanilla, and cooled Guinness reduction.
- Sift together flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt, then add to wet ingredients.
- Fold in dark chocolate chunks and chill dough for 30 mins.
- Scoop onto lined baking sheets and bake at 350°F for 10-12 minutes.
- Top with flaky sea salt immediately and cool.
