Description

An incredibly simple and flavorful slow cooker recipe featuring tender chicken thighs smothered in a homemade, glossy teriyaki glaze.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp water


Instructions

  1. Whisk together soy sauce, honey, vinegar, oil, garlic, ginger, and pepper flakes.
  2. Place chicken in the crockpot and pour the sauce over it.
  3. Cook on low for 4-5 hours or high for 2-3 hours.
  4. Remove chicken; whisk cornstarch slurry into the sauce and cook on high until thickened.
  5. Shred or slice chicken, return to the sauce, and serve.
