Creamy Bacon and Mushroom Chicken Pasta Delight

Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta (fettuccine or penne)
  • 1 lb chicken breast, diced
  • 4 strips bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

 

    1. Cook pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
    2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped bacon and cook until crispy. Remove bacon and set aside, leaving drippings in the skillet.
    3. In the same skillet, add onion and garlic; sauté until softened, about 3-4 minutes. Add diced chicken, seasoning with salt and pepper, and cook until browned.
    4. Stir in sliced mushrooms and cook for another 5 minutes until they soften.
    5. Pour in heavy cream and stir in Parmesan cheese, simmering for 5-7 minutes until the sauce thickens.
    6. Add the cooked pasta and crispy bacon to the skillet, tossing to coat in the creamy sauce. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
